Gir seems to be catching on to the active sit but some times he is anticipating it and will start to turn and sit facing me, I try to correct but I'm not sure the best way to do that. Any recommendations or videos of this?
At this point, do a simple correction sometimes and walk all the way around him. Sometimes, say "Stay" and then step back in front of him. The more random you are, the more Gir has to focus on you and the command.
However, I'm delighted he is anticipating as that shows he thinks he has it figured out and is trying to "help" you by being 1 step ahead. Laugh quietly to yourself as he does this, remain CCC, and work calmly towards him holding his Stay until you tell him what to do. This is a very good sign he is paying attention to you and that is very, very good.
